Glucose Meter Accuracy
Did you know you can get different readings from a blood glucose meter?
To help make sure your Meter is More Accurate, understand that where you test, what you test, and how you test matters.
For instance, with many glucose meters the temperature and altitude of where you test can alter the readings that you get.
Secondly, the test strips that you use with traditional meters can have manufacturing variations that alter the results you receive.
And thirdly, a dirty sample location or even dirty hands can have an impact on the small sample of blood for most meters. So, if you, or someone you care about, test your blood glucose regularly, be sure to first wash your hands and the sample blood site.
Lastly, keep an eye out for the latest improvements in blood glucose meter technology… like the no code meters now available from Diabetes Care Club.
